Bill Kristol's power play third party bid for the White House involves the potential recruitment of National Review writer and constitutional lawyer, David French according to Bloomberg News.  Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard tweeted over the long Memorial Day weekend that a strong contender was in the works to run as an independent presidential candidate against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

French is a constitutional law attorney and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. French is also an author of several books including the New York Times bestselling Rise of ISIS: A Threat We Can’t Ignore. He graduated from the Harvard Law School and is the past president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE).
