Heavy Rains in Florida Start 2016 Hurricane Season
Hurricane season officially started last week and was welcomed with a strong storm that hit the coast of Florida Monday and into Tuesday prompting the Governor of Florida to declare a state of emergency calling to his aid up to 6,000 National Guard if needed to help with potential damages and losses.
The storm named Colin, was classified as a Tropical Storm and has spawned damage and tornadoes up along the coast of Florida.
The National Weather Service has reported, "Colin will proceed through the Southeast U.S. early Tuesday bringing heavy rain, strong winds, coastal flooding and isolated tornadoes to portions of the Southeast. Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect."
