New reports aim to help leaders effectively engage their city and state

By Logos Post News Desk

The Barna Group announced the release of their 2017-2018 report on America's 131 largest cities and 48 states. The reports serve as a granular look at the spiritual climate across regions of the United States, so leaders can effectively understand the spiritual climate and state of faith in the region.

"Every city has its own unique spiritual profile, a picture that is painted by the faith, religion, beliefs, and attitudes of people in that market," explained David Kinnaman, CEO of the Barna Group.

Barna has served as a leader in providing data and insight for churches and leaders to better reach American culture today.

The organization believes this research is about getting better information to leaders to help them reach their city. "We invest in Barna: Cities for this reason—to provide better information to leaders about the state of faith in their city."

Some of the many questions the reports seek to answer include information on topics like:

  • How many people read the Bible?
  • What do they think about the Bible?
  • How many people go to church?
  • What do they think about the church?
  • Religious engagement?
  • Level of volunteerism?
  • How they live out their faith?

"You can learn all sorts of things from these new reports from over 250 variables about faith in your city that will help you lead more effectively," stated Kinnaman.
