38,000 people gathered Sunday night at the University of Phoenix Stadium for Harvest America, a live gospel presentation by Greg Laurie, making it one of 2017’s largest evangelist outreaches in the United States.
The ministry reports that during the stadium event, 2,904 attendees indicated a decision to follow Jesus and online 494 more registered their commitment to Jesus. The event was viewed in 83 countries and included music by popular Christian artists including, Jordan Sparks, MercyMe, NEEDTOBREATHE, Phil Wickam, and Trip Lee, among others.
Laurie, who is also pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA believes now is the time for Christians to engage in active, personal, everyday evangelism. His recent online training course called “Tell Someone” stated 95% of Christians have never shared their faith with anyone.
The ministry has planned a one-day showing of the new feature film Steve McQueen: American Icon, coming to movie theaters on Thursday, September 28. Find out more at SteveMcQueenMovie.com.
