Jane Hamon: 2017 is a "Comeback Year"
Jane Hamon, who serves, along with her husband Tom, as senior pastor of Vision Church @ Christian International published a word she believes God is speaking to the Church in 2017 today on Flow Prophetic, a Christian International website stating that 2017 is going to be a "comeback year." Read the full word on their website, but I have highlighted some of the major themes below.
Hamon believes 2017 is a year of the comeback, a year to regain success and health and prosperity, a year of recovery,
"I hear the Lord decreeing that 2017 will be an incredible Comeback Year! “Comeback” is actually a single word meaning “A regaining of success, fame, health, prosperity, etc.; recovery; to return to a former good position or condition after a loss; the act of making up a deficit as in a contest or game; to become fashionable again; a spirited, clever reply”. It is a hopeful word which carries the connotation of a resurgence of good times, revival and times of victory."
Next Jane goes on to say that the entire nation of America will come into a new season, impacting the economy, culture and the entire world. She prophesied that the Voice of God will make a comeback, resulting in new demonstrations of the Spirit to the glory of Jesus,
"We will see a comeback in our nation, in our economy and of the voice the church has to impact culture and shape the world. This year the authority of the prophetic Voice of God will make a comeback to challenge us all to rise to new demonstrations of miracles and the supernatural and to occupy new places of authority."
And in this season, the shift will take place that will allow the Spirit of God to breathe new life into dead and dry places. Jane Hamon uses the picture of Ezekiel's dry bones, where life was prophesied, and they came forth, so it is in 2017, new life in the church,
"This is a time for us to take time in God’s presence to allow Jesus to breathe on us and fill us with His Holy Spirit again so that we are ready to release His breath in the earth. Allow His breath to transform every area of dry bones in our lives into a prophetic expression of warlike energy, power and life which will release the Shekinah glory of God everywhere we go!"
This year will be a year of making wrong things right, where God raises up and releases change agents to see his kingdom come, according to Hamon. She writes,
"Since the world culture is already upside down, I believe God is decreeing this will be a year to turn that which is upside down right side up! It actually says of the early church that they were known as “those who turn the world upside down.” Acts 17:6... We are to be God’s change agents impacting culture through proclaiming what God is saying, through building bridges of reconciliation in places of division and contention and through praying God’s purposes of heaven to connect with earth. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!"
