Trump and Clinton will debate at Hofstra University on Long Island tonight

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will sit down for their first televised debate of the presidential election season.  The event will be held at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York and will air at 9 p.m. EST on NBC. To watch on livestream, click here.

NBC Nightly News Anchor Lester Holt will serve as the debate moderator. The ninety minute debate will be split into six 15-minute segments with a diverse range of questions.

This is not the first time Hofstra University has hosted such a high-profile debate. “Hofstra University hosted presidential debates in 2008 between then-Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain and in 2012 between President Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney,” according to a press release from the university.  “It will be the first university to host three consecutive presidential debates.”

One hundred million people are expected to tune in to the debate tonight, according to a statement from NBC News.
