Together 2016 To Be Held Saturday In Washington D.C.
Event organizers hope 1 million people will gather this Saturday on the National Mall in Washington D.C. to ask God to “reset this generation.” Christians from around the world will be gathering in unity to pray for our nation.
“We believe there’s power in coming together,” organizers said in a statement. “Jesus promised whenever two or more come together in His name, He is present. It’s emboldening to join with others, to know we’re not alone, to realize we can do more together than apart.”
Many prolific artists and speakers will be in attendance including:
Hillsong United, Nick Hall, Ravi Zacharias, Christine Caine, Josh McDowell, Lou Engle, Sammy Rodriguez, Nabeel Qureshi, Michael W. Smith and Louie Giglio. A full lineup of all guests can be found on the event’s website.
“July 16, 2016 is the day when this generation lays down what divides us and lifts up Jesus who unites us,” according to the statement. “On a day of unified prayer, worship and a call for catalytic change, we will meet…to declare that Jesus changes everything.”
God TV is also partnering with the event. Organizers are asking attendees to register in advance for the free event, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
