Dobson Clarifies Remarks on Trump's Faith
Dr. James Dobson clarified remarks today regarding the faith of Donald Trump when he wrote on his blog,
Only the Lord knows the condition of a person’s heart. I can only tell you what I’ve heard. First, Trump appears to be tender to things of the Spirit. I also hear that Paula White has known Trump for years and that she personally led him to Christ. Do I know that for sure? No. Do I know the details of that alleged conversion? I can’t say that I do.
Dobson went on to say that he is encouraged that Trump has reached out to leading Evangelicals to be a part of his advisory board and believes that is a step in the right direction. Dobson also noted that a country led by Hillary Clinton is one he could not tolerate or imagine. Dobson said out of the two candidates Trump is at least willing to dialogue and build relationships with Christian leaders and for that he is glad.
"Hillary scares me to death," wrote Dobson. "And if Christians stay home because he isn't a better candidate, Hillary will run the world for perhaps eight years. The very thought of that haunts my days and nights."
Dobson reiterated in his post that if Trump is indeed a believer he is a baby one at best considering it is obvious he doesn't know how believers talk, think or act.
He ended by calling on believers to be I prayer for our nation during this time of crisis.
