Pittsburgh Penguins Win Stanley Cup
The Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup last night in San Jose, California.
They defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-1, after Patric Hornqvist scored the game-winning goal with just 1:02 left in regulation.
They tweeted a message in celebration of the momentous event and said there was “pure joy” following the win.
Thanking their fans, they tweeted “Penguins fans, you are the best.”
In a post-game press conference, coach Mike Sullivan said “when you’re a part of something that’s bigger than yourself, it’s a special feeling and I know these guys have it right now.”
