Christians Prepping for the Apocalypse
Christians are increasingly concerned about the state of the world. They have learned to read the signs of the times and have listened to prophetic leaders who are sounding the alarm.
Mark Augason, President of Augason Farms, one of the top companies in the world that specializes in survival food has seen a significant increase in demand for long-term shelf life food. Augason Farms stocks a wide range of emergency survival food items such as freeze-dried meats, soup mixes, powdered drinks, dehydrated fruits and vegetables and bakery mixes.
The volatile stock market, dropping oil prices and massive layoffs worldwide have some fearing for the worst. While we are to trust God, some believe people need to be prudent and stock up on food. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of the New York Times Bestseller The Harbinger, released a urgent video in the late summer 2015 in which he urged Christians to be prepared. He recommended they store food, water and cash in their homes as a precaution. Cahn said he believes “a great shaking is coming to America and the world.”
“Judgement could come in the form of economic collapse, natural disasters, earthquakes, famine or other things,” Cahn said. “It could also come in the form of man-made disaster as in terrorism.”
Some view owning long- term shelf life food as having “food insurance” similar to how one might have “renters insurance” or “auto insurance.” They say if they don’t need it, they can always eat it.
