Jan Crouch, Co-Founder of TBN Dies at 78

Jan passed away today, after she suffered a significant stroke on Saturday, the family said via twitter.

“Laurie and I have just watched the transition of our precious Mother from this world to the next; watched her step into the presence of Jesus and into her heavenly reward,” her son Matt wrote in a statement on the ministry’s homepage. “She has taken a piece of our hearts with her, but it's so wonderful to know that Paul and Jan Crouch are together again, in the arms of Jesus.

Jan and her late husband Paul Crouch founded Trinity Broadcasting Network in 1973.

TBN is the largest Christian network in the world with viewership in the millions. “TBN is featured on over 5,000 television stations, over 70 satellites, the Internet and thousands of cable systems around the world,” according to the network’s website.

This year, 2016, marks the 43rd anniversary of the network.
