Limiting Your Faith Limits Your Blessings
Why do we put limits on God? When I say limits, I mean, we restrict God from being free to bless us; we keep God from taking us to a higher level. Often times, I hear people say, I trust God, but... How can you put "trust God" and "but" in the same sentence. That's an oxymoron, they do not fit.
God says when you put him in a box, you control what you want him to do for you, but when you let him control what he will do for you, the box is not necessary. Let me break this down and visualize this for those that need extra clarification.
God can do the impossible...we believe that, but then we stress over our bills, we worry about the things we have no control over, we try to fix the situation ourselves after praying and asking God to do it for us. What is the purpose of praying and asking God to fix it, if you think you can do it better than He can?
Hebrews 11: 1, 3, 6 states, “Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. It is by faith we understand that the whole world was made by God’s command so what we see was made by something that cannot be seen...Without faith, no one can please God. Anyone comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.
According to Max Lucado, author of God’s Inspirational Promise Book, “Faith is the belief that God is real and that God is good…It is a choice to believe that the one who made it all hasn’t left it all and that he still sends light into the shadows and responds to gestures of faith…Faith is the belief that God will no what is right”.
Your situation looks hard and impossible now, but what you don't see is that God is getting ready to set you up for your blessing, all He needs you to do is increase your faith! Stop trying to be God and control the situation and let God do what He does best...handle the situation for you. The sooner you surrender and let it go, the sooner God will begin to release your blessings.
