Medianaries: Creating Media & Impact for Christ

Medianaries: Creating Media & Impact for Christ

logos-post-medianaries

For too long we've isolated ministry to the four walls of the church building. The thought was that unless we were in full-time Christian service as a pastor or missionary we were kind of second class in the kingdom and maybe, just maybe if we could be good enough, know the right people, align ourselves with the structure of the American church, we could maybe someday get our chance behind the pulpit.

This post serves as official notice: those days are behind us.

You're already in full time ministry. And trust me that is not isolated to 40 hours per week. Try 168 hours per week. There is no time off from being a disciple of Christ and therefore ministry to the Lord and others.

Ephesians 4:11-12 confirms this, So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service.

God calls us all to do something with the gifts and talents he has given us. We are required to prove ourselves faithful, but the bottom line is this - you don't have to serve in a church building or a mission field in Africa to fulfill God's perfect plan for your life.

A New Breed of Missionary

At Logos Post we believe the kingdom of God must permeate every aspect of our cities, nations and cultures. We believe God wants to position his people as leaders in media, government, business, education, arts and more. So we're calling forth a new breed of full time missionary: those called to media that want to serve the Lord with their gifts in writing, video and media. We call them media-naries.

Medianaries are those called to the work of media and want to get trained, participate in a comprehensive internship program and potentially join staff with Logos Post as a full time medianary (This is different than being a contributor to the site as a blogger. Interested bloggers, occasional contributors, and videographers can see this post for details.)
