American Center For Law And Justice (ACLJ) Releases Petition To "Defend The Integrity Of The Election Process"

The American Center for Law and Justice has released a petition in response to the recent recount measures being taken in some swing states following the Presidential election.

The ACLJ said the recount is “an anarchist attempt to stop the certification of the election and undermine the constitutional process.” In addition, the ACLJ said this is trying to “delegitimize the Presidential election.”

In response, the organization, led by Washington, D.C. attorney Jay Sekulow is taking legal action to protect the integrity of the election.

“We’re assembling a team of lawyers to ensure the integrity of the election process. We’re sending emergency legal letters,” according to the statement from the ACLJ. “We’re ready to dispatch legal teams to key counties to hold any recount accountable. We’re prepared to take any legal action necessary in court to defend the integrity of the election process.”

President-elect Trump recently called the recount effort, led by Jill Stein “a scam.” The goal of the petition is to stop possible election fraud during the recount.

As of the time of this writing, nearly 30,000 people have signed the petition. To add your name to the list, click here.
