Fires in Tennessee Cause 14,000 to Flee

Wild fires in Gatlinburg, TN have caused 14,000 residents to flee for their lives as they are experiencing the worst fires in 100 years according to reports. 3 deaths have been announced already.

Samaritan's Purse CEO Franklin Graham asked for prayer for the victims of this disaster that has left hundreds of homes and businesses destroyed.  Due to the ongoing drought in the region coupled with the hurricane force winds Monday night, the fire continues to spread.

Gatlinburg is thirty-nine miles southeast of Knoxville and is a popular tourist attraction because of it close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park along its borders.
